In January 2024, we commenced operations at our coal mining block in Kiwira, located 100 kilometers from Mbeya City in southern Tanzania. Laboratory tests conducted by STAMICO indicate the following coal quality:
- Calorific value: 5,000 kcal/kg to 6,200 kcal/kg
- Ash content: 18% to 30% (with an average of 25%)
- Inherent moisture: Less than 3%
- Volatile matter: 15% to 30%
- Sulfur content: Less than 1%
- Fixed carbon: Calculated by difference
Though we are a relatively young company, we are currently capable of mining and supplying up to 3,000 tons of run-of-mine (ROM) coal per month. Our focus moving forward is to expand our production capacity, enhance processing technologies, and optimize logistics to capture the full value chain from raw to processed coal supply.
